Traveling by train to Machu Picchu is the most enchanting way to reach Peru’s most beautiful pre-Hispanic citadel. Machu Picchu is one of the most visited wonders of the world, renowned for its stunning stone constructions meticulously carved with precision and detail. It stands as the most significant achievement of the Incas, constructed atop a rugged mountain of green granite that was likely challenging to access in its time.
During the journey to Machu Picchu, you’ll immerse yourself in the scenic landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with its subtropical flora and fauna, as well as breathtaking natural and archaeological views along the train route to Machu Picchu.
Early in the morning, a representative from the agency will pick you up from your hotel, you will board a tourist bus to Ollantaytambo train station. From there, you will embark on a scenic train journey to the town of Machu Picchu, which takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Upon arrival at the train station in Aguas Calientes, your guide will be waiting to escort you to the bus station. The bus will then take you on a 30-minute journey up to the Machu Picchu Archaeological Park.
Before entering the park, you will need to present the required documents to the Directorate of Culture and adhere to the established protocols for your visit.

The guided tour will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, allowing ample time for photography and for you to soak in the grandeur of this wonder. Then, you will board the descending bus back to Aguas Calientes for a revitalizing lunch at one of the various restaurants.
At the designated time, head to the train station to board the return train to Ollantaytambo, followed by transportation back to Cusco.
